RAREJOB - online tutoring service (earn 15,000 - 30 000) per month through internet =)

I first saw it in our school bulletin board saying "YOU CAN EARN EXTRA INCOME IN YOUR HOME" of course, who will not be tempted? However, I was afraid that it was not for real. So I surfed the net and read some blogs about RAREJOB.

After reading those, I was convinced that it is legit (though I was an idiot to doubt it at first because for sure, our school won't allow RAREJOB to post in our bulletin board if they are just scam=).

So, I went in their website and applied. After one hour, I received an acknowledgement letter from them. Then, after some days, I received a call asking about my free time so that I can have my interview.

Then last August, I had my interview. I almost suffered from heart attack because I was so nervous! hahahah

For those who are about to have their interview, read the material attached in the acknowledgement letter. I cannot elaborate more because I am not sure if I am allowed to. So all I can say is prepare and really familiarize yourself with the material. I wrote this part because when I was the one who is about to undergo the interview, I surfed the net for possible tips and I found nothing =)

After the interview, your interviewer will tell you if you pass or not. Then after passing (I'm sure you will ;), you will pass the necessary requirements like your picture and etc.

After passing all of those, your schedule will now be opened. There are no problems regarding my schedule because RAREJOB practices flexitime, meaning, you are the one to tell them when are you available for teaching!

I had my first student last October 17! I was really nervous because my student was a student of RAREJOB for a long time already. Thankfully, the morning ended well.

Now, I just received the notification regarding my first salary! Yehey!

If you have more questions, feel free to leave a comment and I'll try to answer them immediately =)

All I can say is, it is really a good and enjoyable way to earn money because you need not to go outside your house to earn. All you need to do is sit in front of your computer and talk!

I hope this blog helped you in some way ;)

Here are the other information that you need to know about RAREJOB.

=NOTE: once your accepted, please tell them that tutor MIMAI referred you. Thank you!=)

    1. hi, I just have some questions here, hope you can answer:
      1) How long do their interview last?
      2) What sort of questions do they ask-- are they more personal or academic(IQ)?
      3) On the average, how much do you earn per month?
      4) You mentioned about an acknowledgement letter. I've already passed the test and chose my schedule for the interview. When should I expect the letter?
      5) Lastly, are you given the prerogative to choose your tutee? Will you also be given a background of your prospective students?

      Thanks cutiemimi09!

  35. Hello, i read your blog about rj, i would just like to know if you can give me advice about it? I heard there is now an imposed withheld tax of 10 % plus 3 percent monthly and the yearly tax requirements as well an obligation to apply as a self employed or independent contractor?

If you have free time...can you please message me back? I heard that years back there were no tax requirements for this?

Thank you so much for your time
I hope I didnt bother you.

    2. Hi! I already passed the EPT and the Demo Lesson. After I opened my first lesson slot, I read about all the tax requirements for an independent contractor. I'm confused if I still want to pursue being a Rarejob Tutor. Too much work for a homebased job :(

    3. hi. what exactly do you mean by "too much work for a homebased job?" ialready passed the ept and now im contemplating whether to continuewith the demo lesson over skype or not. thanks..

  36. Hello! I am a tutor in Rarejob and I did not graduate in UP. I still get a good fee but UP graduates has an edge. Their profiles will show a badge that they are UP graduates which is recommended by the site. However, this does not give them extra incentive as far as I've read in our rule book. I can also refer you if you want. Just give me your email and Rarejob will be the one to contact you through email. Tutor Patit.B Thanks!

  39. Wow, I would like to apply as a tutor but as the requirements say, you should be at least a UP student or alumni. :D Maybe, to other tutorial centers in the Phillippines like MSA.

  40. Hello cutiemimi09! I have a question. Can I still tutor even if I'm not in the Philippines? I'm in Singapore right now... Will that be a problem?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hey!
    So, question.
Do they release the salary twice a month? Like, on the 10th and 25th , or, 15th and 30th? --- or its just really 'once' a month?

Hoping for your kind response tutor mimai :))

    ReplyDelete
  42. 15,000 monthly for 8-10 hours is really very low...that is only a two day 8 hr salary here in walmart (USA)...it is ridiculous!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hello, can I ask? How can I schedule my demo class, if all the slots were fully booked. Or when can I get another slot? Thank you :)
